The Cooler By J. Morelli III  I like William H. Macy as an actor. Always have. Always will. But in this flick it just doesn’t work out for him. Many people have been praising this film. I will admit that some of the writing was pretty choice and some of the action was pretty good. But none was good or consistent enough to make this a real solid piece.
One problem with this movie for me was Alec Baldwin. I fucking hate Alec Baldwin. No offense or nothing. But he is just too…fucking…too. Its hard to sit back and like what he does, because he is such an affluent asshole. His role, had it been played by someone else, would have been great. But since you have him playing it, all fantasy of the movie is lost due to assholism. Although I did appreciate the sporadic nudity from Maria Bello and others, it wasn’t enough to make this movie a worthwhile view. This flick managed to make 90 minutes seem like 3 and a half hours. That’s some lord of the rings territory I aint willing to enter. So to all involved in this movie.
