Million Dollar Baby

Before I delve any further into this review of this movie, I would first like to use this as an opportunity to promote my online Christain store. The main purpose for the Online Christian Store is to make a statement of my faith and Kim's faith. I want people to know how we aim to lead our lives, as Christians. We fall short quite often, but we try our best. The purpose of this store is not to generate revenue, but to announce our faith.

And in announcing my faith, I'm also announcing that I'm open for recieving commision to exploit my past. In other words, I'll do gigs like writing articles like this for example. That's all.

So, moving along towards my three hundred words, this movie was great. Clint Eastwood did a good job, but the lead actess, that hick, she was horrible. So ugly. So mannish. I can't see how any man could find her attactive. Especially when she was sweating. Gross.

Overall though this movie caught Don Mattingly by suprise. Don Mattingly didn't see it coming, and it wasn't what Don Mattingly expected. The lead up to the boxing was spectacular, terrificly done and smooth. The aftermath, Don Mattingly thinks, was even better.

Although the religious undertones didn't strike a nerve with Don, because no one should be able to question the word of the god. Anyone, like the main charachter, who doesn't believe in an omnipotent invisible man who inhabits the sky is just stupid and crazy. It's unrealistic. Everyone believes in some invisible man inhabiting the sky. I've never heard of someone not. That's just crazy talk.

Don Mattingly would highly suggest this movie for anyone who enjoys movies. It's long but doesn't feel like it, it's good but still pisses me off. There are a few racial undertones, mainly stereotypes against Southern people, which is uncalled for, and should be, like the invisible man stuff, banned from publication.

But, these are just my Don Mattingly views. You should really make up your mind for your self. I mean, you really don't have to listen to a four time golden glove winner, but you'd be a jerk if you don't. So go see it. Do it for Don.
