Gay San Franciscan Named Next Dragon King

Added January 18th, 2006

Thimphu is going crazy. In the remote kingdom of Bhutan, in between China and India, the current Dragon King, Jigme Singye Wangchuck, has named his successor. To the surprise of many throughout the isolated kingdom, it was none other than his homosexual lover, Bruce Gary.

This was a major slap in the face to his previous crown prince and heir apparent, Dasho Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck, Singye’s son. From his simple palace in Thimphu, he has explored slow modernization of Bhutan, opening up the internet in 2002. Since then, he has developed a relationship with several homosexuals throughout the United States, most recently 29-year-old Advertising executive Bruce Gary.

It is not certain that Gary will become the next Dragon King, because despite being hereditary, it can be overturned with a 2/3s vote in the Tshogdu. But, in spite all that, he was very excited. “I always told him Khesar Namgyal was sooooo stuck up, and he needed to loosen up before he became king. And then look, oh my god, he gives it to me, such a sweetheart.”

Namgyal Wangchuck was already leading cries against Bruce in the strictly Bhuddist country, along with the 10 queens. This would be a tremendous shock to the strictly isolated country, which shies away from any foreign intervention. And, not only that, it would break the current blood line of the Wangchuck dynasty.

Homosexuals are not really an open thing in this south Asian country, and the revelation of the king’s prominence in the homosexual arts led many to rethink his own role in the government. While the prime minister, Lyonpo Sangay Ngedup, is supporting him, it was recently revealed that Ngedup recently had intimate relations with a goat, and is still vying to maintain his post. This could spearhead the greater debate in Bhutan on where the penis is actually allowed to be and under what circumstances is it allowed to be there.
