Russian Boy Kidnaps Himself – In Critical Condition
Added September 2006

Ten year-old Little Ruslaf Khamensky ran away from his home in Derbent, Dagestan into Chechnya. There, after he found a group of Chechen rebels, he demanded they kidnap him and hold him hostage.

His parents cried out and began raising the ransom money demanded by their son, and lead a campaign to bring him back. “Ruslaf was my best son, he the only one who come out right. We must find him!” Little Khamensky, his father for who Ruslaf is named after, yelled at a rally.

Meanwhile the rebels hid Ruslaf in mountains somewhere in Chechnya. Apparently, the boy demanded the group make him a rebel and give him a gun.

“He is a good kid, he really likes us. He takes my thrust, no scream. And afterwards he makes me dinner and asks about my day. He is like a woman, only you can’t get him pregnant!” rebel leader Alu Kadryov proudly reveled on the boy.

After living with the Chechens for a few days, they ended up taking him under their wing and gave him a gun. But, after playing with it for only a day, Little Ruslaf got very sick.

“I tell him, yes, the bullets taste good, put them in your mouth but don’t swallow them. He don’t listen,” one of the rebels explained.

Ruslaf would swallow four bullets and get extremely sick just hours later. After he told his Chechen captors, they agreed to turn him back to Russian soldiers if their ransom was met.

Unfortunately, after living with the rebels for over a week, his family decided to move on. In that short period of time Little Khamensky Sr. and his wife conceived, carried, and gave birth to a young baby boy.

“I like this one much better than the last one. This one will be smart, he won’t get kidnapped,” Khamensky commented.

With no takers back home, Ruslaf’s fate is uncertain. Because he has no home, many Russians advocate simply just burying the child, even though he is not dead. Wherever he ends up, I bet he’ll sure have one heck of a stomach ache. Stomach ache. Stomach. Ache.
